A 16-year old girl presented with a whitish plaque over the nose of 1 year duration . It had slowly progressed to involve the upper lip .extending inside the mouth to involve the gum pain and difficulty in chewing and brushing of .teeth. There was no history of trauma , smoking or chewing tobacco .No other significant medical or dental history . No family history. Histopathology of the skin lesion showing hyperkertosis, focal basal cell degeneration, Subepidermal hyalinization and inflammatory cell infiltration. What's your diagnosis ?

Diagnosis: Lichen Sclerosus Et Atrophicus (LSA) LSA is an uncommon disease with unknown etiology. It usually begins in the form of ivory maculopapular lesions, later aggregates into plaques and may resemble morphea. Mucosal involement occurs occasionally. There is no effective therapy. Topical or intralesional steroids are sometimes helpful.
